Letters from the Co-Founders:
Since my childhood, I remember struggling with constant itching and/or red skin after applying skincare and eventually makeup. My skin would be left dryer after applying a lotion rather than retaining hydration and would break out in reaction to product formulas regardless of their hypoallergenic claims. To this day, I continue to deal with health complications of my own and understand first hand the struggles of dealing with a compromised immune system. My personal dilemmas forcefully push me to expand my thirst for knowledge regarding anything and everything to do with living a sustainable, approachable, healthy lifestyle. I’ve come to realize early on that proper skincare is one of those crucial first steps to achieving a healthful self!
Knowing that our skin is our body’s largest organ and absorbs a majority of what we put on— I made it one of my missions to learn as much as I could about the skincare industry and how the wrong beauty products can negatively impact our overall wellbeing. My frustration with products by known and popular brands, delivering failed promises led my desire to create and co-found VIP Jolie Skincare Cosmetics in 2015.
Since the start of this company I vowed to stay truthful and always put out only the best products that I would apply to my own skin. Upon learning that the skincare industry has no mandatory FDA oversight, I became even more determined to provide the public with a luxury skincare line that doesn’t compromise quality for profit like many brands do. Short of being my own guinea pig, I’m confident that anyone with or without skin sensitivities no matter their skin type will be able to apply and reap the beautifying qualities VIP Jolie has to offer.
It’s taken us a few years to do our diligent research and evaluate formulas. Since faces are how people identify individuals, we wanted to empower women of all ages and ethnicities to feel their most confident selves by reviving their genuine, raw beauty! This is why our first skincare item to be formulated is VIP Jolie’s Antioxidant Facial Cream. A face lotion which I personally use daily and trust will revolutionize your everyday beauty routine. My skin story began very early in my young teen years and continued well into my twenties. Abrasive skin problems became the norm of my daily life as I was constantly trying to deal with and cover my severe inflammation and cystic acne on my face. Visits to Urgent Care occurred regularly in order to drain golf-sized cysts from my face. My dermatologist kept pressuring me to be on birth control and all sorts of medications in an attempt to help regulate/diminish my acne woes… Sadly, nothing ever worked and along with the horrendous scarring my hormonal acne left as reminders, I felt beaten by puberty.
Finally, after years of fine tuning myself into a healthy and wholesome lifestyle, I sorted my skin out without any medications or temporary fixes. However, with the acne gone, my scars still remained—leaving me with a new dilemma—finding the best make-up and proper facial creams on the market to cover and help heal my scars without aggravating my skin again. Little did I realize just how difficult an obstacle this would be!
From high-end to low-end brands and everything in between, nothing did the trick and all creams had major shortcomings in their ingredients. None of them truly nourished my skin the way it craved… Thus, after not being able to find any product we could trust 100%, my sister and I combined our stories and VIP Jolie was born! Our recipe is exclusively designed to resuscitate and enhance facial skin naturally and without ANY harsh or toxic ingredients for all women with ANY skin type!
Personally, VIP Jolie has become my sole skin regimen. It has repaired so much of my acne scarring that they are hardly even noticeable anymore and it continues to fortify my skin to look more youthful with a natural healthy glow every day! Whether on the road for work, flying across the globe under extremely dry airplane conditions, or just wanting to relax after subjecting my face to extra sun… VIP Jolie always has my back and I could not be more in love with any product!
